Western New England University's Vice President for Finance and Administration, Basil Stewart, has announced the appointment of Lucinda (Cindy) Donnelly as the new Associate Vice President of Human Resources.
"Cindy comes to WNE with extensive higher education industry experience working at institutions within the metro New York City area," said Stewart in his announcement to the University.
Associate Vice President Donnelly is a certified human resource professional with more than 25 years diversified experience in senior Human Resources leadership roles, including her service as CHRO at Adelphi University, VP of Human Resources at Columbia University, and in several corporate organizations, including CIGNA, State Street Corporation, The Home Depot, and Intercontinental Hotel Group. She has experience in HR transformation, organizational and leadership development, compensation and benefits strategy, training and professional development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
"Cindy looks forward to bringing direct and positive impact to matters facing the University," added Stewart.
Donnelly earned her Master's of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. Her education and training also include Senior Professional, Human Resource (SPHR) certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) which demonstrates her mastery of the strategic and policy-making aspects of HR.
"I am delighted to join Western New England University and look forward to supporting and enabling the vision and strategy of this wonderful community," said Donnelly who officially began work on Monday, August 8.
Donnelly is married with two children and resides in Suffield, CT. She enjoys outdoor adventure, reading and travel.
