PharmD Pathway: Transfer Applicants

Now Accepting Applications for Fall 2024

The WNE College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences welcomes applicants who have been enrolled in another Doctor of Pharmacy program and are looking to transfer into the WNE Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Students who have completed fall and spring PY1 coursework at another school must have an overall GPA of 2.7 in their Doctor of Pharmacy program to be considered for admission as a transfer student into our program.

If the GPA is 2.7 or above, the student should submit an unofficial transcript to Lori Berg, executive director of admissions, for pre-review at lori.berg@wne.edu.

Once the preliminary review of your transcript is complete, if qualified, you will apply through PharmCAS and provide the following information to PharmCAS:

  • Official transcripts from current pharmacy school
  • Official transcripts from all schools attended
  • Letter from a dean within your current pharmacy school indicating good standing (either academic OR character)
  • Transfer Essay

*Additional recommendation letters are optional

All documents are reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine if an invitation to interview will be offered. After the interview is completed, the Admissions Committee will review the application and render an admissions decision.

If the student is admitted and submits their first deposit, the Dean of Academic Affairs will determine which coursework from their previous institution will be transferable into our curriculum.
