The Western New England University College of Business has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and is earned by fewer than five percent of the world’s business degree programs.

Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, and evaluation which can take several years to complete. AACSB standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement. All accredited schools must go through a continuous improvement peer review process every five years in order to maintain their accreditation. Western New England’s College of Business first earned this distinction in 2003.

"AACSB-accredited schools demonstrate a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning. The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education," said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB.

"We are all so proud to have received our maintenance of accreditation from AACSB. It is a testament to the high quality of business education and indeed our entire College of Business community at Western New England University," says College of Business Dean, Dr. Sharianne Walker. "The reaccreditation process is a rigorous one that requires us to demonstrate and assure our commitment to relevant and innovative curriculum, excellence in teaching and research, engagement with the business community, and impact in every aspect of what we do. This was a community-wide effort that engaged all of our faculty, students, College of Business Advisory Board members, and alumni. The remarkable engagement, collaboration, and contribution by so many people in the maintenance of accreditation speaks to the deep and abiding commitment to business excellence that exists at Western New England University."

The Western New England University College of Business offers undergraduate programs in Accounting, Business Analytics and Information Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, International Business, Management and Leadership, Marketing, Marketing Communication/Advertising, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Business, and Sport Management.
