Advisory Committee

Advocating For Our Students

The Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee includes students and campus partners to advise the Office of Disability Services on matters regarding student services and campus accessibility.

Members of the Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee also serve the larger campus community as advisors regarding accessibility issues and improvements. Members of the Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee seek to promote disability culture as an integral piece of the diversity of the campus and community. This is accomplished through campus & community engagement, advocacy, class presentations, collaborations with the surrounding community, and promotional activities for disability-related campus events.

The Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee provides a strong advocacy voice that guides improvement priorities, service level expectations, and strategy and direction throughout campus. These groups provide non-binding advice to various areas of the campus community.

Select members of the Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee also serve as SAS Appeal Review Participants, on an ad hoc basis.

The Student Accessibility Services Advisory Committee meets quarterly, and members commit to serve at least one full academic year.
