What You Need To Know
Mailbox Key - Pickup
Mailbox keys for incoming freshmen are issued during Orientation - Transition day. A tent is set up on Commonwealth Hall lawn from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you miss picking up your key on that day, go to Mail Services located at the Campus Utility Building (CUB) across from the tennis courts. Mail Services hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
You will receive your mailbox key and a paper with instructions on how to address your incoming mail. You are to keep this key for the entire time you are at Western New England University. Commuters are not given a mailbox unless one is requested. Should you lose your key, the lock will be changed and your student account will be charged $45.00. If your lock doesn't work, come to Mail Services and a work order will be filled out for the Locksmith to repair it at no charge.
Mailbox Key - Drop Off
On your last day at Western New England University, return your key to Mail Services. A drop box is located outside of the CUB to drop off keys after normal business hours. If you cannot get to Mail Services, you can mail your key back.

Incoming Mail & Packages
All mail addressed to students with a mailbox is delivered to the Campus Center Mail Room located on the first floor. You will need your key to access your mailbox. Please pick up your mail frequently. The boxes are small and there can be time-sensitive mail. It is imperative to provide accurate addressing (Mailbox #) to ensure that packages are delivered to the correct address and person to prevent misdeliveries.
Student packages delivered to the University with the student's name and mailbox number (mailstop) are picked up at Mail Services located in the CUB. A notification via text message to your cell and/or an email is sent once the package arrives at Mail Services. Please keep in mind that all carriers deliver once a day: USPS delivery is at 8:30 a.m.; FedEx and UPS deliveries are usually received by 1:00 p.m.; however, Amazon packages arrive at random times throughout the day. Please do not come to pick up an Amazon delivery until you receive the WNE text or email notification. Perishable packages will be placed in the refrigerator or freezer. Please pick up the package promptly. We have limited refrigeration space.
